An urgent plea from BRQ
Hi everyone,
Every year BRQ grows and is able to save more and more boxers. Sadly, this year, we have more abandoned boxers than ever and we are struggling to keep up with the need for more foster homes. We find oursleves with more dogs than homes. Some of these dogs are in danger of euthanasia. In particular, we are in need of foster homes without other dogs - you can imagine how hard it is for us to find dog lovers with no dogs of their own, willing to foster. If you know of a dog lover who is not in a position to own a dog permanently, however would enjoy the companionship of a K9 on a temporary basis - please pass this note on and ask them to contact us at info@boxerrescuequebec.com We have several dogs in need of a temporary home right now, as well as dogs waiting to come into rescue. The more foster homes we have, the more lives we can save. Thank you for reading, Crystal BRQ Raising awareness on animal testing in Canada
Did you know that dogs and cats that end up at pounds are often sold to animal research facilities? This practice is so common that it has a name "Pound Seizure" and it has been outlawed in many US States and humane countries around the world. However here in Canada, Pound Seizure is very common. Here at Boxer Rescue Quebec, our main goals are to rescue and re-home boxers in need, educate the public about responsible dog ownership and to preserve the reputation of the boxer breed. We also offer advice and suggestions to boxer owners who are trying to place their own boxers in forever homes themselves. And of course to assist other rescue organizations with similar goals and philosophies. Our philosophy is based on a holistic approach to all aspects of a dog's well-being. This includes education and training, nutrition and health, and behavior. Our main concern is to reduce stress and prepare the boxer for his new home and family, mentally, psychologically, emotionally and physically. A well-rounded boxer is what we aim for.
BRQ promotes responsible ownership and provides on-going support to all adopters on a permanent basis. We strongly believe that matching our boxers with the perfect owners is of primary importance and will take the time that it takes to thoroughly evaluate each boxer and its potential adopters. Our rescue prides itself in the amount of care we provide to our boxers and the support we provide to our adopters. Once a family has adopted from BRQ, they become part of our rescue family permanently.

HELP SAVE A BOXER! DONATE TO BOXER RESCUE QUEBEC
As a volunteer run registered non profit CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, we are always looking for financial support in order to better help boxers in need and those that require special attention and/or have special medical needs. We do not receive any regular funding and rely solely on donations and fundraising to survive. We have no large pet food companies or other corporate sponsors giving us money.
These are some of the expenses rescue pays for in preparation for the adoption of a rescue to a new forever home. Not to mention the special cases where a rescue is severely malnourished, underweight or, ill and needing specialized treatment. Every boxer rescued receives these treatments prior to adoption: Spay/Neuter Vaccines Heartworm test/treatment/pills Flea-tick check/treatment Stool analysis Full health examination Antibiotics and medications if needed Boarding fee Surgery when needed ( health issues ie. lumps, broken limbs ) X RAYS when needed ![]() A big thank you to everyone who has been involved with BRQ this past year to volunteer their time or to contribute by sending monetary donations to help these rescues! If you would like to make a donation, please contact us via email by clicking here OR
Go to our DONATE page and click on the DONATE button to make your donation online.
Any donation is graciously accepted & appreciated whether it be $1, $5, 20$ or more. Every little bit helps. We can always use additionnal help from volunteers particularly with fostering, transporting and fundraising. Contact us for more information.
Your donation does not have to be strictly monetary. We are also always looking for any items that you may not need anymore or that you would like to donate to rescue: Crates, bowls, collars, leashes, food or food gift certificates, healthy treats, blankets, towels, toys etc...
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING RESCUE!
