Earl

Our poor darling Earl has not had it easy. Earl was found on the side of the road, skin and bones and severely dehydrated - almost dead. Thankfully he was rescued by his local SPCA and they saved his life. He was put on i.v. fluids and rehydrated. Earl was feeling stressed out in the shelter and since we could offer him a quiet environment to recouperate in, he came to BRQ. Earl has been seen by our vet and is on a diet of premium quality wet food since his body is still getting used to accepting food again. We have him on salmon oil for calories and beneficial Omega fatty acids. Earl was very traumatised from the lack of water and at first would drink until he would regurgitate. He has now realized that he will always have all the water he needs, so he is no longer frantic to drink.

Despite his hardships, Earl is a great pet! He walks well on leash, he is great with other dogs, and he can be left alone in the house with no problems. Since he was a stray, we do not know his exact age but our vet says he is apprx 8-9yrs old. He still has great energy and LOVES to romp and play. Earl is looking for that special someone that will take him in and make him a real family member. He needs cuddling, spoiling, a soft bed and a warm fire to curl up in front of in the winter!
