Sid was rescued from a puppymill where he was kept in a cold, filthy barn with about 50 other dogs.
They did not have enough food or water. He was covered with cuts, scrapes and scars which have healed now. He was rescued with his friend Bindi who has been adopted. Sid is still waiting for his forever home.

Sid is a 2yr old white male boxer with one blue eye! He is stunning and he knows it! He loves to romp in the backyard and he's very cheeky. He is very sweet, crate trained, bathes well, travels well. He is a typical goofy boxer, loves to play and jump around. Like many boxers, he doesn't seem to be good with cats - he likes to chase them too much! He is very friendly and wants to meet everyone he sees.  Sid is especially bright - I have not met many boxers who learn as quick as he does. He would be great at doggie sports! Sid is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed. He is a healthy boy but does have a heart murmur. This is quite common with boxers and our vet was not concerned. It does not affect him in any way but does need to be monitered at regular vet visits.

Sid shows no behavioural or emotional signs that they were abused. He loves to give kisses. Sid is also quite well behaved. He is crate trained, very clean in the house, knows how to sit and give his paw!! - this leads us to believe that he was not born in the mill and may have once had a real home. Sadly, noone knows for sure, how he ended up as a puppymill dog.

Sid needs to learn his manners with other dogs nad can be quite rude with them, so a home with another dog is not necessary. He is not aggressive with them but he is overly excited to meet them.

From Sid's foster mom:

Sid is just so happy to be warm and dry at home with some affection from his humans and doggie companion.  He does not like the cold weather much although he is starting to get used to it.  He enjoys walks and does very well with some booties on to protect his sensitive feet.  He could also use
a nice coat for the colder days :)  He walks well on leash, I use the sensation harness which buckles in the front - with the collar he tends to pull a bit more, but i think he would quickly learn to walk on a loose leash as he is very bright.  He does get excited when he sees other dogs when we're out walking (he will bark and pull).  He also wants to meet everyone we cross ;)

He loves food and is very food motivated. He is very well behaved in the house.  He is housebroken, we haven't had any accidents.  I have to say that he settled in pretty quickly.  He is quite
happy to go in his crate, although his favorite spot seems to be on the couch :)  especially if I am sitting next to him and patting him ;)  He is very very sweet with people.  He has also already learned to go and lie down on his pillow when I am having dinner.

He doesn't seem destructive at all.  I haven't left him alone loose in the house, but when I take a shower or go into another room, he just curls up on the couch and waits.

He plays very well with my female boxer, Kashmir and is also happy to just 'hang out' with her. However when meeting new dogs he tends to be very obnoxious.  He does not show any aggression towards them but as he is *very* pushy, he could upset other dogs.  At my place he has met a few of my friends' dogs, a male Golden mix and a female bichon mix.  I will have him meet some more even tempered dogs throughout his stay so that he continues to learn his manners.  But seeing how he is with Kashmir, I think he calms down once he gets to know the other dog.  So I would think that once he starts meeting other dogs on a regular basis, the excitement will wear off and he will settle down. It will take work and socialization though. If he does go to a home with another dog, it would need to be a female and she would have to be especially tolerant otherwise it will not work out. He may be best as an only dog.
