A special BRQ thank you to young dog lover Emilie Paiement

On April 9 and 10 Boxer Rescue Quebec and Boxer Rescue Ontario teamed up at Petcetera in Orleans to collect donations and raise awareness about Boxer rescue, the foster programs and dogs awaiting their forever homes; the goal was to get our names out there and let people know we are online, at events, and raise awareness of rescuing if and when they are thinking of adding an addition to their families. We had a lot of success and met a lot of the locals in the area that were all very supportive of everything rescue organizations do for animals in need.

Mid-day on the Saturday two people came in and were very friendly and chatting to us about Boxer rescue and the Boxer breed. As we got talking they started to enlighten us about what their daughter does as a part time job, they were so proud and this is why; Emilie Paiement has a special place in her heart for those animals looking for a new home. This 12-year old girl has a part-time job walking and sitting for dogs; in and of itself, a remarkable thing for a 12-year old to do. Emilie donates half of her earnings to the SPCA and other animal rescues in need; we cannot thank Emilie and donors like her enough for everything they do for boxers, dogs and all animals in need.

As her parents told us Emilie’s story we put together a small bag of dog treats and buttons and sent it home with her parents to thank her for thinking of Animals in need. Emilie returned later in the afternoon with a donation for Boxer Rescue Ontario and Boxer Rescue Quebec.

Many Thanks Emilie, you are truly inspiring to all of us!
